Things I’ve shipped

Apps I have designed, built and shipped — from App Store releases to university and hackathon work.

PicGammon

Personal project · Shipped to the App Store

A backgammon game where every match is played with photos. Native SwiftUI client on top of a Cloudflare Workers backend with Durable Objects for live game state, APNs push for turn notifications, and Workers AI screening every uploaded photo before it reaches an opponent.

LiveChat

Personal project

Random one-to-one chat across Android, iOS and web from a single Kotlin Multiplatform codebase, with a Cloudflare Workers backend handling matchmaking and session state. Includes a moderation queue and an admin view with automatic transcript translation.

GalleryTool

Personal project

An iOS app that makes sense of a large photo library entirely on device: a Core ML face-embedding model plus a clustering pipeline groups every photo by person, and a cleanup flow surfaces near-duplicates and clutter. No photo ever leaves the phone.

TUM — Advanced Topics of Software Engineering

A browser-based IDE for Java and C, built on a microservice architecture. Users sign in with TUM GitLab, create multi-file projects and share them with collaborators; each build runs in an isolated Docker container.

TUM iPraktikum — with Quartett Mobile GmbH

Brought connected-car functions into Apple’s Shortcuts app, so a driver can compose car actions together with any other app’s actions into a single custom workflow — output from one step feeding the input of the next.

Winner — Accenture Campus Innovation Challenge 2018

Subtitles for the real world: an AR-glasses app that transcribes live speech into the wearer’s field of view to make everyday conversation accessible to deaf users. We built both the product and the business case, and our five-student team won across three rounds against teams from Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

Where I’ve been

  1. Mar 2026 — Present

    Stealth Startup

Mobile Engineer · SF Bay Area

Building an iOS app that turns raw footage into finished marketing videos: automatic clip selection and trimming, generated captions and voiceover, and one-tap translation of both audio and subtitles into other languages. Launched this summer and shipping updates continuously since.

  2. Aug 2022 — Jan 2026

    RideBee

    Lead Mobile Developer · Munich

Owned mobile for a commuter carpooling product — rider/driver matching, in-app chat, automatic fare splitting and live navigation. Both native clients were mine: iOS in Swift, UIKit and SwiftUI; Android in Kotlin with Jetpack Compose alongside an existing XML view layer. Ran the team as Scrum Master and helped shape product decisions in a small startup.

  3. Oct 2021 — Apr 2022

    Netlight Tech College

Leadership Program · Mentored by Netlight

A part-time leadership and technology programme run by the consultancy Netlight, with one-to-one mentoring, taken alongside the master’s.

  4. Oct 2020 — Aug 2023

    Technical University of Munich (TUM)

    M.Sc. Computer Science

Software engineering and distributed systems, with iOS running through it — an advanced practical course in iOS and a thesis building an iOS app for learning management systems. Taken while working as a mobile developer throughout.

  5. Jun 2020 — Aug 2022

    Quartett Mobile GmbH

    iOS Developer · Munich

Worked on the myAudi companion app — connected-car features linking phone to vehicle — in an agile team embedded with Audi. Swift, UIKit and SwiftUI.

  6. Jan 2019 — Dec 2019

    Raytion GmbH

    Junior Software Engineer · Düsseldorf

Enterprise search and content integration. Extended the Java connectors that pull content out of third-party business systems and into enterprise search platforms, and contributed to redesigning that product range around cloud services.

  7. Jul 2018 — Dec 2018

    Queensland University of Technology (QUT)

    Exchange Semester · Informatics

A semester of informatics in Brisbane on a TUMexchange scholarship.

  8. Oct 2017 — Mar 2018

    Technical University of Munich (TUM)

    Database Class Tutor

Taught relational database fundamentals to undergraduates in weekly tutorials, trying alternative teaching formats rather than the standard script.

  9. Oct 2016 — Sep 2020

    Technical University of Munich (TUM)

B.Sc. Computer Science · Minor in Economics

Computer science with an economics minor — and where the iOS work started, with a practical course in iOS, the Accenture Campus Challenge seminar, and a thesis on assembling a health-aware navigation app from existing components.
